  • I splurged on Obagi

Has anyone used the Obagi Nu Derm system?  I purchased it last week and am on day 3.  I'm not sure what i think of it.  I had awesome results with Dermalen but i do have a couple of persistent spots and thought my skin needed a change.  So...i bought Obagi...it seems so harsh on my skin.  I am thinking of stopping it.  I do notice some lightening but i do not think i can go 6 weeks of flaky flaky, did i mention flaky???

I forgot to take starter pics.  My spots are not even noticeable to anyone but me.  I am my own worst critic.  My skin has aged 10 years in 3 days on it.  I am going to sell it i think.  Anyone want it???  I have used it for 3 days.

Ill sell it for $275...i have the whole set. Here is a recent pcs without any foundation.

I have followed you with Dermalen and just came back to "check in" and see you are now on to Obagi.  I did it, the full program, religiously and made it into maintenance before stopping it.  I don't truly believe it is worth the money for melasma.  Your skin will get wrinkly as you see but that is just the top layers drying out.  Once it peels it will be bright red.  For me, this was very painful and I did it in the winter.  I cannot imagine imbarking on it in the summer!  While red, you will see beautiful skin, it will appear so very soft, wrinkle free or reduced wrinkles and it will look as though the melasma is disappearing or completely gone.  Once I got to maintenance and the redness went away all the melasma was still there.  There was esentially no change in it.  I know one other person who did Obagi with the same results I describe and over the years, I've heard others say the same thing on various skin boards.  If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me at ahammer@aegonusa.com

Oh, could you e-mail me or post the contact information for the dermalen and what you paid for it?  I'm considering it out of pure frustration!
